Why Photography

I've taken pictures from when I was a small boy. It was when I was thirteen that the technical side really triggered my love of photography. My school had a darkroom and I had a camera. More importantly I had my great friend, Rick, to show me the basics of darkroom printing and a teacher, Mr White, to show me film developing.
What Photography
I love being outdoors and living in the UK gives you a lot of different versions of the outdoors - sunny, cloudy, rainy, icy..... So for me landscape photography become a simple part of being outdoors. Aircraft have also always been a part of my life and became a natural extension to my craft.
Is 5am too early?
Dawn is my favourite time to be outdoors. With less people and warm sunlight it is peaceful and gives you so much to work with. However, from mid-April to early August sunrise is 6am which means the best light is from 5:30! So I often ask myself how early is too early to get up and out. Is 5am too early? Sometimes it is but so often it is the best part of the day (honest).
